From his hobbled position, Alex could still see the fight pretty clearly. It was fast and ugly. She wasn't moving right - and not like demon dead, where their bodies seemed hauled around telekinetically. She just moved like the world's fanciest robot.
Nonetheless, presently outclassed by an Ashley doing the best he can. He found an opportunity to make his move more effective, lacing a stiff arm through her attacking limbs, putting her off balance, and then executing the sweep. She flipped up off her feet and crashed into the roof violently, her neck making a snapping noise.
Still, she rolled forward, Getting just out of reach and back to her feet. He still had a bit of an upper hand. Ione- "AUGH!"

Ashley- Ashley took a step forward, and aimed a low kick around her pelvis, to push her back, and maybe break her hip joint if he was lucky.
He would not speak of Alex. She did not seem very intelligent in her undeath. Maybe he could hold her up here long enough to distract her.
Come on boy, get up. Come on, you can do it.
He hoped she hadn't caused him too much harm already. Was it is own behavior that had caused this cascade, or something more? What if she hadn't thought he was dead.
He decided not to think much more about any of this, and pinned his hopes on Alex.

As she turned to face him and he struck, he was distracted by the ickiness of her head loll. Her damn neck is broken! She easily deflected the attack, grabbed his arms, and pulled him forward.
She rolled onto her back and kicked Ashley airborne with both feet, sending him through the air. It was a weird moment. Awareness of all sorts of things - she had the strength that if she'd done that move a little differently, those legs would have disembowelled him instead of sending him aloft. The sense of his internal organs sloshing around. The sight of Alex on the roof - totally unable to move, but alive. A strong feeling he had several cracked ribs from the first time she attacked.
Then the landing. He was on his back, but surprisingly not much more injured than before. As he scrambled to his feet, he saw her coming toward him.
He was on the edge of the rooftop. One or the other of them was likely to be going over the side. Can this type of monster fly? Ione- "You're going down, redneck!"

Ashley- "I'm a Guido you monster." He felt his ribs move in unnatural ways, and wondered if they were going to puncture all his organs and make him into bloody Swiss cheese. He thought he was done getting broken bones fifteen years ago, but here they were again.
Being a man of very little brains he didn't consider the possibility of being eviscerated, but he did consider the possibility of trying to kick her off the roof. Maybe she could fly, or maybe she'd fall to her death.
It was always worth a try. He closed his eyes, prepared his last push, counted to ten, and hoped the blinding white pain would go away soon.

((Excellent retort, haha.))
ASHLEY GOT KNOCKED OFF THE ROOF! AIEEEE! ((I'm downgrading your second roll by 2 points and using it as the athletics roll to grab onto the edge and avoid the sixty foot drop.))
Alex saw Ione - weird brokeneck robot Ione - kick Ashley off the roof! Something flipped in his mind, like adrenalin perhaps, and allowed him a moment of clarity about this paralysis. He realized it was some kind of hypnotic suggestion, and he could move after all. Of course, he might not be thinking too clearly, because Ashley's fingers are too small and far away to be seen, so as far as he knows, Ashley is down in the street.
Ashley clung to the edge of the roof by fingertips, Ione standing above him, head doing that weird roll, face full of undead cold fury. She was a thing now, and a thing that wanted to see all life dragged down with her. Disturbing. Ione- "Well, Guido, looks like the end of the line for you. Humans are pathetic! God! I can't wait to see you pop like a piñata." Ashley was running out of options. She was smart enough to stand just outside of ankle-grabbing reach. Any move to climb up would be easily countered by her just kicking him off. Down was sixty feet to the concrete. He couldn't even look down, as his body was flat against the building. If someone below had left a window open, he might stand a chance of grabbing it and stopping his fall, but it seemed fairly unlikely and he couldn't even look down to know if he had a window to drop to. The side of the building was too smooth to find finger holds.

Ashley- "...Wench.." He holds on as tightly as he can. He considered pleading to buy himself time, but at this point, maybe it was better to let go with one of his hands to give her a last defiant gesture.
He had, with maturation, reduced the number and volume of his swearing, crude gestures and decisions to punch people, but now seemed like an excellent time. He tried to shift his weight to make it, but found he didn't have the strength. Being hurled around like a doll and having an undead boxing match drained it out of him.
It wasn't a bad way to die, and he couldn't be a zombie if he was smooshed.

Ione- "WHAT?! I'm not a wench. You're just jealous because I'm young and beautiful and you're old and ugly! And stupid!"

Ashley- "Oh yes, my jealousy is on my face right here." His tone was as sarcastic as Ashley's voice could be, at any rate.He seems oddly calm, and calmly defiant. He no longer seems worried about the increasing likelihood he'll fall off the roof and die soon. Or be pulverized into non-ambulatory material.
His black eyes seem almost reptilian in their serenity.

Ione heard him coming and turned around at the last second, but his momentum carried the attack through. She was looking directly at him as he shoved her off the roof. Ione- "You'll love me forever!" He saw her fall into the street. With a thumping and cracking sound, she landed. Then Alex saw Ashley, still dangling. Hi there.

Ashley- "... Alex..." Ashley smiled wearily. His arms trembled as he pressed his fingers into the edge of the roof. He didn't watch Ione fall, but he could hear her a moment later. It was his fate too if he wasn't rescued soon. He was tired now, and weak. His chest hurt even hanging like this. He imagined his ribs were loose and would peel right off his muscle soon.

"Yeah. *Sigh of great lament* I will." She didn't need to hypnotize him for that. He grabbed Ashley by the arms and pulled the man to safety VERY carefully. It would a huge bummer if he slipped at this stage."Are you all right, Ashley?"

Ashley- "...She really was some kind of mind control vampire thing." He says with a hint of exhaustion. He turned his head one direction and then decided everything hurt too much. Had he stopped keeping track? Being shot, furniture, bookcases, being dropped, set on fire, and now breaking every bone in his thorax. This was not a good year for Ashley. "...I need... painkillers. I think she broke all my ribs. Thank you Alex... We should go and tell the others right away..or...you can tell them. I'll just...sit here for a little while." Ashley sat down, sitting straight up, and just didn't move. He stared off the roof top to whatever was within view without looking down and then coughed, cringed and sighed."You did very well, Alex. Thank you."

As the gentlemen stepped away from the edge to the security of the building, another gust of apocalypse dust blew around them. The sun in the sky was indifferent to life and death. ((Last word from Alex and they go back to the Comm Center?))
