Ben- "Yikes! What was that, and is it dead for real now?" Ben stepped out to take a look at the undead abomination on the floor. He poked and prodded it with the base of his stick, ready to leap back at the first sign that the beastly humanoid was merely faking it to lure people closer.

If it's still wiggly, Tyrone will put away his gun and smash on its head until it stops wiggling. Tyrone- "I don' know but I feel like I wasted half a clip. Stay sharp - them shots mighta drawn company."

The creature was still wiggling a little bit, but after being smashed enough, it stops wiggling. As if in answer, a few more of...something, slink out of the shadows of the hallways to either side, which seem to have been pushed open from the closed end. "Stay sharp, there may be more of them." He drew his gun and aimed down the hallway, unsure where the heads were on these things. He rarely was able to use his guns, but when he did he wanted to make sure that it was into their heads, and only those he thought might be armed.

Patti moved quickly to the left side of the hallway, positioning herself so that her firing hand was just around the edge of the wall and most of her body was behind it. Fortunately, she was right eye dominant, so she didn't have to stick her whole head out there to take aim. (OOC - I have too much homework to do tonight, but I'll try to check in here when I get painfully bored.)

There is scuttling, until Patti peeks out, and then a shambling shape drifts forward at top speed towards the others. A slow top speed, but this one also seems armed. In the moment, it is difficult to tell if the guns are loaded, or entirely empty.

Deciding it would be better to find out if the guns are loaded later, Patti takes aim at the thing's head and fires. She spaces her shots out by two second increments until her target goes down.

The zombie closest to her did not seem to have a bullet left, but it flailed and fell to the ground. Who knows about the others. They lay still on the body of their fellows. From far down the right hall came the strange gasoline vapor smell. Ashley leaned down and looked upon one of the people, and his face became difficult to read. He touched a rotten shoulder with gentleness, though this zombie was no different than any other to anyone else. He kept going, though he seemed unusually white.

Ben- "Ghosts? Where is that smell coming from?" Not being a dog, Ben didn't really know how to track by scent, and could only tell that something was in the air. He started to look around in every direction, with up and down being the most important. Not because ghosts were more likely to come through the ceiling or the floor, but if they did, that's when Ben would have the shortest time to react.

Patti holstered her pistol long enough to strike up her flare. It was probably better if they had more than one going. Drawing her pistol again, she held the flare out into the hallway, hoping to illuminate whatever was producing that smell.

Ashley stumbled down the hall towards the far door. They couldn't be sure where the smell was coming from, but it didn't seem to be stronger if they decided to follow suit. "Locker rooms." He points out as they near the end of the hall in this direction.

Tyrone didn't light a flare yet, holding his club in one hand and his gun in the other now. He said quietly to Ben, Tyrone- "Is this job lookin' like a good idea t' you?" He followed Ashley.

Ashley unlocks the locker room somehow, and then shoves it open with his shoulder. It is strangely empty...no ghosts, no zombies, though there are some strange stains against the walls and doors around them... A row of lockers, wider than a highschool locker, lay against every surface. "We can start over here." He offers, seeming a little deflated, and crowbars the first locker after fiddling with the lock a little. "It's stuck."

"You realize there's going to be something in there, right? Like a zombie or a corpse or something, right?" She raised her pistol and flare. She looked around nervously, waiting for Ash to muscle the door open.

"In the locker? I guess that's possible..." He prys hard, and it pops open with a load of files, wadded clothes, a uniform, and a bullet proof vest inside. There are magazines, torn paper, and photos in a box at the foot, seemingly left there for fun. "...These things are heavy. Do people just...want to put them on as we find them?" He frowns at the vest, and searches for anything else. Billyclubs, and flashlights are also stored in there.

Tyrone didn't light a flare yet, holding his club in one hand and his gun in the other now. He said quietly to Ben, Tyrone- "Is this job lookin' like a good idea t' you?" He followed Ashley. Ben shrugged, and replied just as quietly: Ben- "Hard to say. Depends on if we really need this stuff."
