Something large shifted in the distance between hallways, moving quickly enough it was unseen by Ashley, who seemed to be doing his best not to watch anything too long or too closely.
It could be human-sized. Maybe. A very very large human, possibly.

"It must be dead. Shoot that thing...Whatever it is." He says, looking anywhere but at them. He drew his gun himself as well. He wasn't sure if it was a zombie, he hadn't seen it, but he hoped so. He couldn't hear it moving anymore. Was it..holding still? he wasn't sure why it wasn't rushing him. There was something wrong about this thing, and he did his best to pay attention to what was happening. His lack of focus might be dangerous, but he felt faint and nauseous...

Tyrone- "Copy that, lieutenant." The phrase showed no knowledge of Ashley's profession - it was just macho guy speak. Tyrone let his club drop lightly on the ground and drew his gun.Tyrone- "I don't damn get it..." As the thing had stopped moving, he let other people cover their ears, aim their guns, and whatnot before pulling the trigger. He aimed near the top, hoping for a head shot, and fired twice.

The creature is hiding? It does not seem visible from this hallway. If they attempted to approach the hallway to get a better shot, it rushes them suddenly. It is hard to tell what it was wearing, the body is covered with rot, the material curled up and peeling down the frame of the grotesquely distorted creature. Did it have two faces? It was hard to say, maybe it was just an opening where it had raw meat before, sloughing off its side. It was not shambling, and like its companions before, carried a weapon. A live weapon. How? The shots sprayed at random, it may be ugly but its aim was poor. The sound was deafening. Ashley noticed a shiny nametag, but didn't read it. He decided it must be one of those assholes. Any of them. Most of them were assholes in one shade or another, who cares..who cares if they died, right? He shoved away thoughts of their families and friends and their whole world as he pulled out his gun and aimed for the head, missing as it jerked with its poorly aimed shots.

Tyrone- "*drowned out by gunfire*" They were being fired on. Tyrone flattened himself against a wall to reduce his profile and make room for anyone needing to run the fuck away. He kept firing at the head, hoping something would stick before the freak got lucky or came up on point blank.
One shot, two shots, three... ((Is it dead yet Jara? ...Nice description btw. We can wait for other peeps to come in before concluding this too. However you like.))

Ben- "Oh shit!" As soon as the lead started flying, Ben leapt into another hallway and stuck out his flare-on-a-stick from behind the corner. He hoped that whatever was shooting at them would run out of bullets before it got close enough to hit someone.

((OOC There's a t-shaped hallway, and if Tyrone managed to shoot it in the head while it bullrushed and shot at them, then maybe it will be killed. Even Ashley wasn't able to hit it because it was moving to fast and too hard. Patti would probably be better able to get a good shot into the head area.)) Ashley himself dropped down to avoid the gunfire, though he was sure that it might aim downwards too at some point, and tried to get a second shot in, to no success whatsoever.

((I made a table and rolled, and also rolled for Ashley's luck in all of these things. Naw, he's just a superzombie, and that thing on his neck is a tumor that looks like a face...probably))

Apparently, Patti's instinct for gunfire wasn't fine-tuned, because her initial reaction wasn't to run or duck. She took aim in the general head/upper torso region, popped off three shots, then clumsily parkoured over a waiting room sofa and ducked down behind it. After her shots, the thing had still been moving forward and she had fully realized that it was shooting at them, not just the other way around. Ben was holding his light out from the hallway, so the room was still semi-lit. Patti still couldn't quite bring herself to look around the couch. She was being shot at! What the hell?! She knew this was a possibility and at least this thing was presumably undead, but it still raised her hackles. She listened for movement beyond the barrier.

In the hail of fire, only Tyrone was able to stop its bull rush, which was, perhaps, fortunate for all of them present. The creature dropped in a rotten pile at Tyrone's feet, though it moved as if it had all the drive to rise again. A gun was clutched tightly in a single large fist. It was easily the size of a large bear, and had an inhuman, almost gorilla-like appearance on better view, but had clearly been human once. "...Good shot...Tyrone..." He says hesitantly after a long pause. This thing made him anxious, and he wasn't sure if it was truly redead..again...At the far end of the dark hallway had been the room of holding cells, which he decided did not need to be visited.
