Ben- "Bryce, Jackson and Susie are keeping Kenny company in there. He's been possessed by some 'Zadokhis' demon. So if we're all going to one place, that would be the place." Ben pointed towards Kenny's apartment, but he wasn't sure how he felt about everyone holing up in the same place. It felt a bit like sticking one's head into the sand, and that hadn't worked so well for all the people they'd encountered so far. But maybe it would be a wise move for the night, so they could deal with the zombies in the morning?

Stevie- "We still don't know a hundred percent what makes it so's you can get possessed, so maybe keep it ta just a few in that room, an' have the rest of us across tha hall. Whaddya think?"

Ben- "Sure. I guess." Ben shrugged. He didn't know what to think. But the corner apartments seemed to be bigger than the others, so the apartment across the hall would definitely be the better option."We'll have to carry Basil there then? Unless he's got some kind of spinal injury?"

I don't feel like RPing the ins and outs of getting people set up, to yeah, everybody carefully picked their way around the grody corpses and wedged into Basil's room. Basil was carried. Seems like at least he and Sharma have broken bones, and Sandy is cut up worse than most, but still able to do stuff.
PROCEED TO BASIL'S APARTMENT!!! ((Start posting after I post there about the influx of peeps.))

Stevie, Anna, and Ben made sure they each had a fire source and a weapon, and came out of Basil's room into the hall...

Ben- "So I guess we'll just raid the linen closest then? I guess I have at least a few extra sheets in my apartment. Hm, counting both sheets in a set, I guess I could cover half of what we need." Ben tried to figure out which upstanding residents would be likely bedsheet aficionados. Most of the original residents were gone, but all the trading seemed like it would've put stuff in the hands that were most eager to have it. Lilla, perhaps? Surely all ladies were crazy about bedsheets."With Ione gone, Lilla should have some to spare too."

Stevie- "That's cold, man."
Anna- "But useful."
Stevie- "Let's get into it then..." ((Here we're really getting out of time with the other players, but oh well...)) They began going room to room getting not only sheets, but spare electrical cords, rope-like objects, and so on. The third room they went to pillage was Anna & Susie's. ((Proceed there for next Ben scene, wait for it to be set up.))

When coming out of another room, Ben, Anna, and Stevie came to a stop. On wither side of them in the hall stood floating horrible creatures. The remains of Ben's flare sparked in the fumey air.
Ghosts- "Grrrrgggggrggggrnnnnsssssgggg..."

Ben- "So many..." Ben cautiously stretched out his flare towards the ghost closest to him, trying hard to not look at the shape that was doubtlessly looking straight at him. Bye, bye, flare.

Ben had a moment of panic as the ghost failed to catch fire and lurched forward into his peripheral vision, but a quick swing of the pole and fiery tatters were flying past him...
On the other side, he could quite make out what had happened, but Anna had turned the dark thing into dark smoke. The three stood in place a moment, coughing at the smoke, readying themselves for more, then picked up their materials and moved on.
They could hear zombies battering the stair door to the north, and stumbling blindly in the closer south stairs, behind the heap. If they failed to keep their composure, they'd start to see themselves in these corpses, start to lose their minds to fear. They kept on. Anna- "They probly got everything else we need in Kenny's room. Let's get this goin'." ((Go to Bryce/Derek/Kenny's room when announced.))

Seth finally pushed enough of the corpses out of the way he was able to belly slide over the top of them, which was possibly the most disgusting thing he'd done all day. His shirt rode up at one point and he felt the slimy, dead skin on his own, and he felt vomit rise in his throat. Thankfully the slipperiness of the wet blood and rotten skin allowed him to slide through somewhat easily, and he tumbled out the other side. There was more light here, so the dark ghosts inside were quite apparent.
Oh just fuck off already... I'm tired of this shit.
He pulled a flare out of his back pocket, casually leaning the pole against the wall. He found the slower he moved, the slower the ghosts tended to come upon you. He struck the flare, and the ghosts hesitated. Did they really fear 'death' at all?
He kept his head low, but he could feel the eyes staring at him, hoping even now they could catch his gaze and fill him with their crushing despair. The hopelessness of death.
Staring at their feet, he lit them ablaze, chunks of burning ash fell like autumn leaves. Then, the hall was empty save for a few bodies lying face down. He almost wanted to stop, and flip them over to make sure they didn't have faces he recognized. He picked up the pole, and continued down the hall, leaving the sparking flare in the middle of the floor.
He came to his own room, he hoped his pets were okay. He was about to go in, when he heard the voices from the room next door. He knocked on the last door in the hall, feeling like his legs were about to give out.

After a bit of waiting and drama, Seth was helped into Derek's old room, and the hall was empty again - save for wandering shades and piles of spent horror.

The remaining ghosts turned into harmless black jelly. As people tried to understand this turn of events, they eventually found it safe enough to evacuate the floor - and did so. Only intermittent visits for supplies ensued that night. The floor was relatively empty, save for the rotting.
