(Neurotic) I unscrewed the top and took a long swig. Then a couple more. I kept taking more a I spoke. This was hell after all so no point being polite and I very much wanted to be less focused with this pain in my leg.Edmund- "I guess so. It's hard not to believe in something now. I saw your church. It's not for me I'm afraid. If you can see into minds you probably know why. Your priestesses are an interesting bunch for instance. My mother made me go to church until I was eighteen then I just stopped going. I don't know why I guess I slept through too many sermons but it just didn't stick. I wish I had kept going, so maybe I wouldn't be in this mess. I don't mean to offend but if it stops me coming back here, I'll go every Sunday. Though most Christians don't burn their children's toys or starve their daughters to death. What really happened? Some kind of ritual? I ate more of the roast, taking more swigs of wine as I went. Could you even get drunk in hell?

Something was a little unsatisfying about the food, but you could still experience
some pleasure from it. Lisa- "Did you ever think that it's a little unfair that people have to live out their lives before they can go to heaven? Little children could be spared the suffering if they died young, and went straight there.
Things didn't go perfectly for us, but I think it will all end up well. The 'church'... ah, you know, that's a bit like you wandered straight into heaven as a human, and saw the angels conducting their business. Maybe more like purgatory. Would you like to know a little bit about the universe? Life after death and all?"

(Neurotic) Edmund- "I can't say I did. I like living. Heaven always sounded a little boring to me. Even so I couldn't kill my own child. I am curious in the sense it would help explain all this. Say wouldn't it be good to have someone return to the normal world to write about all this? Someone with the right psychological knowledge?" I took another swig and another mouthful of food. Even a little bit of pleasure was better than none.Edmund- "Oh.. Also, do you know where I'd end up? Perhaps you shouldn't say..."

Lisa- "That's true, it could be quite useful. You're a very intelligent man." It seemed a bit BS-y, but whatever."The truth is, you go wherever you think you deserve. If you think you deserve to go to heaven, that's where you'll go. It might be different from what you imagine though. I'd like to ask you a favor. You don't have to go through with it, but hear me out. First, what do you think of my son? Be honest."

(Neurotic) Edmund- "Interesting. I guess thinking highly of yourself isn't such a bad thing. Purely psychological huh." "Scoot! Scat" I took a gulp of wine before I replied. Hopefully there were no sharps around."Honestly? I feel sorry for him in some ways. He gives up so easily. He is driven by his fear of you and this place. To the point of murder. He killed so many, innocents. I could almost understand killing another adult out of fear or anger but kids? Dogs? Never. It's almost worse that he did it just to avoid here, rather than from mental illness like psychopathy or schizophrenia. At least they're not in their right minds. At least they think they're doing the right thing. He was a sobbing mess the last time I saw him. He feels remorse but I'm not sure it's enough..."

Lisa- "Yes, it was very cowardly. Better to just accept your fate. It's partially my fault for pushing my religion, I will admit. Well, what do you think should be done with people like that? Do you think he should be brought to justice, and what would that mean to you?"

(Neurotic) Edmund- "Yes, perhaps he should have. It would have saved lives and all this hassle. I would have preferred never to see any of this. Or you could have let him make his own choices. Does your church really want someone like that? I think he should face human justice. Stand in front of a court of his peers and serve his sentence. He'll come back here eventually if he thinks he deserves it, right? Is patience a virtue of your religion?" I leaned forward a droplet of wine escaping my lips as I spoke. I wiped it messily away with the back of my hand.Edmund- "Could you clear something up for me? Diane did ring me before all this. She was driving here. She's not really here though, is she? In this hell scape somewhere alone and afraid? That was all in my head too... Wasn't it? She's alive and fine, right?"

She looked a little coy, hard to read. Something odd about her, made her beyond your
usual abilities to read people. She wasn't blinking, for one. Easy to imagine she was something else in a human costume. Lisa- "Hm, I'm glad you are being so thoughtful about this. Let me give you an analogy. Timothy was out on work release, and skipped town. This is a sting, to bring him back where he belongs. The Angels are patient, but we are not, I suppose. This is the best time, when the illusion is broken so well. And wouldn't this be the most poetic place to do it?
As for your 'Diane,' I really don't know. Maybe the whole thing was in your head. Are you certain she's even a real person? I don't want to give you a complex, but it's not as uncommon as you'd think."

(Neurotic) Edmund- "Why would you say that? You know the night I've had or at least I think you do. How am I supposed to believe anything is real anymore?" I take out my puffer look at it and then put it back. I took another mouthful of wine instead, choked on it. Coughing wine everywhere. I close my eyes for a moment, rubbing my temple. A moment passes. Edmund- "Sorry... She's real enough. Pretty sure her cheques don't bounce so it's good enough for me. What is reality but our own perceptions?
When it comes to Mills? I'm not going to stop you. Like I could. Do as you will as long as I can go home to some semblance of reality."

(Neurotic) I eyed her up, wishing she would give more away.Edmund- "It'll be... interesting. Do I tell it how I've seen it or put it into more manageable pieces? I didn't think I would be writing horror. Though at least it's psychological horror, right? I'm not going to pretend success wouldn't be nice but how could you guarantee it? What would you want in return? What would be the consequences?"

Lisa- "If you don't feel that you can do the act yourself, if you could at least stand aside when Timothy's debt is repaid... you will find a reward when you return. Someone will get in contact with you, and their offer may sound strange and trivial, but take it. You will be glad you did. Sorry I can't be more descriptive."

(Neurotic) I shrugged non-committedly.Edmund- "As long as I don't end up back here. Sure, I could step aside. No problem. As I said, not like I could stop it anyway. Is that it?
So while I have you. Anything you could tell me for my book? Any dark childhood secrets of young Timothy?"

(Neurotic) Edmund- ”Well, details are important. Did he seem like the kid who could murder? Was it you or he who hurt your daughter?
See it? Like how?Crystal ball style? I don’t want to end up there with him but I am curious as to what you have in store for him. Is it like here?”
